7 tips on how to take care of your skin all year round
Skin care
1. Use sunscreen all year round.
In the summer, you probably don't leave the house without wearing sunscreen, even though you should be wearing it year-round, even in the dead of winter. Of course, when it's very hot outside you should use a higher level of sunscreen, but the sun shines all year round and its UV rays can damage your skin.
Be careful when choosing a sunscreen, and try to match it with your skin type. If your skin is prone to breakouts, choose oil-free creams. If your skin is sensitive, choose creams with a mineral base.
2. Choose the right cleaning agent .
Choose the cleanser that is designed for your skin type. Antibacterial helps to heal pimples, but it's too strong for sensitive skin.
Use different cleansers for your face and the rest of your body, don't generalize them.
Wash your face in the morning and evening, and during the day only when it gets dirty. After washing the face too much, the skin becomes dry and red. This is true even for those with very oily skin.
3. Do not sleep without washing your face.
Always wash your face before going to bed, even if you are wearing no makeup. No matter how tired you are, always remember to clean your face from the day's dust, bacteria, and dirt. Even if you are not able to perform the evening care of your skin properly every day, use a toner or any cleanser.
4. Eat right.
Healthy skin reflects a healthy body, so a proper diet is the key to healthy skin. Avoid sugar and junk food, and instead eat fruits, vegetables and oily fish such as salmon or sardines. These types of fish contain skin-nourishing omega-3 fatty acids.
5. Use a lot of water.
The correct dose of water per day is 8 glasses, but very few people are able to drink that much water. Try even 4-5 cups if you have difficulty. If you are thirsty, choose water over all other drinks. It moisturizes your skin and cleanses the body of toxins.
6. Do not touch your face.
Your hands collect various types of bacteria and germs throughout the day. Touching your face can inevitably lead to skin infections.
7. Use moisturizers and evening creams .
Always keep your skin moist by using moisturizers during the day and an evening cream before bed. Even if your skin is too oily, it still needs moisturizing. You just need to choose oil-free creams.
